Decompression

About Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal Decompression works by gently and specifically stretching the spine. The traction force provided to the spine changes the position of the spine and relieves pressure on the spinal discs, the gel-like structures sitting between the bones of your spine. Over time, the negative pressure from decompression may result in bulging or herniated discs to retract. Decompression promotes movement of water, oxygen and nutrient-dense fluids into the disc to promote healing. The increased disc hydration also alleviates pressure on the spinal nerves and joints. Spinal decompression is ideal for treating bulging discs, disc herniations, pinched nerves, sciatica, arm and hand numbness, neuropathy and radiculopathy, disc and joint degeneration, spinal stenosis and chronic pain.
